How can hypnotherapy help with IBS

Hypnotherapy can be an effective tool for managing symptoms of Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). Research has shown that hypnotherapy can help to reduce the frequency and severity of IBS symptoms.

During a hypnotherapy session for IBS, I will guide you into a state of deep relaxation and then use various techniques, such as visualization, positive suggestion, and cognitive restructuring, to help you manage and reduce symptoms of IBS.

There is a strong evidence that our brain has direct connection to our digestive system and the stress seem to be important factor that adds to flare up of  IBS. Hypnotherapy for IBS may help you to learn techniques to manage stress, which can trigger or exacerbate IBS symptoms. It can address the underlying anxiety or emotional issues that may contribute to IBS symptoms.

Several clinical studies have found that hypnotherapy can be effective in reducing IBS symptoms. It is not a cure as such, however significant improvement in symptoms can be experienced after just a few sessions.
